Role & responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual targets.
- Lead, motivate and monitor the performance of wholesale and retail sales teams.
- Set team-wise and individual sales targets and regularly review achievements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with dealers, distributors, retailers and key accounts.
- Identify and develop recent markets, territories and business opportunities.
- Conduct regular market visits and monitor customer requirements.
- Analyse FMCG/footwear market trends, competitor activities, pricing and product movement.
- Monitor primary and secondary sales and ensure effective product distribution.
- Review daily, weekly and monthly sales reports and take corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Warehouse, Marketing, Finance and Management teams.
- Monitor collections, outstanding payments and customer credit.
- Drive upselling, cross-selling and new product/category development.
- Conduct regular sales review meetings and provide performance feedback.




- Ensure proper implementation of company pricing, schemes, discounts and sales policies.
- Prepare sales forecasts, MIS reports and business performance reports for management.
- Improve sales team productivity, customer service and market coverage.
- Support management in developing long-term sales and business expansion plans.

Preferred candidate profile
- Minimum 3 years of relevant sales experience.
- FMCG experience is preferred, along with experience in footwear, wholesale, retail or distribution.
- Experience in handling dealers, distributors, retailers and market sales.
- Proven experience in leading and managing a sales team.
- Strong knowledge of sales planning, target achievement and territory development.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and customer relationship skills.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Willingness to travel for market visits and business development.
