- Install HVAC systems according to specifications, including heating, cooling, ventilation, and control systems.
- Inspect and perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions in HVAC systems and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Test HVAC systems to ensure proper operation and safety.
- Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer's instructions to troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems.
- Keep accurate records of work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and service reports.
- Provide excellent customer service, including addressing customer concerns and answering questions about HVAC systems.
- Stay updated on industry developments, new technologies, and best practices in HVAC installation and maintenance.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures while performing HVAC work.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an HVAC training program or apprenticeship.
- Certification or licensure as an HVAC technician (requirements vary by state or region).
- Proven experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems.
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
