Position: Hot Stamping Line Equipment Manager
Department: Engineering
Reporting To: Head Project & Engineering

Location Pune

Job Description

Main Activities & Scope of Responsibility

1. Lead Hot Stamping Presses, Hot Stamping Lines, Furnaces, Laser Cutting Systems, Laser Blanking Systems, Blanking Lines, Roll Forming Lines, Shot Blasting Machines, Automation, Material Handling Systems and related all type of equipment development, sourcing and technical definition for new projects.
2. Evaluate key technical points for recent equipment and define selection criteria together with Corporate, Purchasing and plant stakeholders.
3. Create and update equipment technical standards, specifications and acceptance criteria.
4. Support commercial activities including costing estimates, feasibility reviews and technical reviews related to equipment.
5. Coordinate suppliers, facilities and plant teams during design, build, FAT, installation, commissioning and launch phases.
6. Promote lessons learnt, troubleshooting and continuous improvement with maintenance,



die maintenance, die design, quality and production teams.
7. Support equipment launch phase on sites and resolve technical issues related to equipment or suppliers.
8. Drive equipment relocation projects and support energy efficiency measures launched in Asia.
9. Other tasks assigned by the Head of Department.

Qualifications Required
- BE Mechanical / B.Tech Mechanical / Automation / Electrical

Competencies / Skills
- Knowledge of Hot Stamping Presses, Furnaces, Automation, Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Electrical Systems.
- Experience with supplier audits, overseas supplier follow-up and equipment acceptance processes.
- Ability to analyse equipment performance and present technical conclusions clearly.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and engineering documentation for equipment layouts and schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting, TPM, 5S, project follow-up and lessons learnt culture.
- Knowledge of EHS standards
