Wells Fargo is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of software engineers responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-scale applications and platforms. This leader will drive delivery excellence while building high-performing engineering teams that leverage up-to-date software engineering practices, cloud-native architectures, and Generative AI capabilities to accelerate business outcomes.
The ideal candidate combines robust people leadership with deep technical expertise across multiple technology stacks, including Java, .NET, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and AI-powered solutions.
In this role, you will:
Lead, coach, and develop a team of software engineers across multiple products and technology platforms.
Build a high-performing engineering culture focused on accountability, continuous learning, innovation, and operational excellence.
Provide technical and strategic leadership for enterprise-scale applications built using Java, Spring Boot, .NET Core, microservices, and cloud-native technologies.




Drive architecture and design decisions while ensuring solutions meet security, scalability, reliability, resiliency, performance, and maintainability requirements.
Lead the design and implementation of event-driven and asynchronous systems using Kafka and related messaging technologies.
Establish engineering standards, software development lifecycle practices, and quality controls across the organization.
Partner with Product Managers, Architects, Business Leaders, and Technology Leaders to define roadmaps and deliver business priorities.
Champion modernization initiatives, including application rationalization, cloud adoption, API enablement, and platform transformation.
Drive adoption of Generative AI and Agentic AI capabilities to improve engineering productivity, operational efficiency, and customer experience.
