Job Description – Climate and Sustainability
Role Overview
The position will support government, development-sector and private-sector clients in designing and implementing climate action, sustainability and resilience initiatives. The role requires technical expertise, solid analytical capabilities and experience in advisory and stakeholder-engagement assignments.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake climate-risk, vulnerability, resilience and sustainability assessments.
- Support the preparation of climate action plans, decarbonisation strategies, net-zero roadmaps and sector-specific sustainability frameworks.
- Conduct greenhouse-gas inventories, emissions-baseline assessments and climate-mitigation analyses.
- Advise on climate adaptation, disaster resilience, nature-based solutions, circular economy and resource efficiency.
- Support ESG assessments, sustainability reporting and alignment with national and international frameworks.
- Assess climate-financing requirements and identify suitable public, private and blended-finance instruments.
- Develop monitoring frameworks, KPIs, dashboards and reporting systems for climate and sustainability programmes.
- Undertake policy research, benchmarking, data analysis and preparation of actionable recommendations.
- Prepare technical proposals, reports, presentations, concept notes and other client deliverables.
- Coordinate with government agencies, private-sector entities, multilateral institutions and development partners.
