As part of the Nestingale delivery team, you'll architect and execute a critical migration to Microsoft Fabric, giving the client a modern, scalable data ecosystem. Ideal for a developer who excels at precision delivery and high-visibility architectural work.
About the Role
We're looking for a
Power Query / M expert
to lead the migration of a complex data ecosystem into Microsoft Fabric. This isn't about building dashboards — it's about transforming how data is handled, from raw ingestion in Lakehouses to sophisticated transformation via Dataflows Gen2. You'll be the primary owner of the ETL logic, keeping data clean, performant, and accurate as the environment scales.
This is an M-first role.
If you've lived in the Power Query UI but haven't written and optimized M by hand, this won't be the right fit — and that's okay.
What You'll Do
- Architect the migration:
lead the transition of legacy workloads into Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouses, Pipelines) for a contemporary data stack.
- Master the M language:
write and optimize complex, high-performance Power Query (M) for cleansing, mapping, and standardization.
- Build robust pipelines:
design and manage end-to-end ETL, integrating SQL Server, SharePoint, and Excel into a unified source of truth.
