Role Overview

We are looking for a agile and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee shift operations, manage extrusion and compounding processes, and drive high-performance manufacturing standards. The ideal candidate will ensure optimal output, strict adherence to quality parameters for color/additive masterbatches, and maintain safe shop-floor practices.

Key Responsibilities
- Shift Operations Management: Supervise daily shift production activities, ensuring target output, machine utilization, and minimal downtime.
- Process & Extrusion Control: Monitor twin-screw extruders, gravimetric/volumetric feeders, melting, mixing, and strand pelletizing processes specific to masterbatches and engineering plastics.
- Quality Compliance: Coordinate with Quality Assurance (QA) to ensure products meet stringent dispersion, melt flow index (MFI), and color-matching standards.
- Manpower Deployment: Allocate daily duties to machine operators and helpers, monitoring attendance, productivity,



and safety compliance.
- Data Logging & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production logs, raw material consumption, scrap generation, and shift handover notes.
- Safety & 5S Implementation: Enforce strict adherence to plant safety guidelines, PPE protocols, and maintain a clean, organized shop floor using 5S methodologies.

Candidate Profile & Requirements
- Qualification: Diploma in Chemical Engineering / Polymer Technology / B.Sc. (Chemistry) or equivalent.
- Experience: 3 to 6 Years of hands-on shop-floor experience in polymer compounding, masterbatch manufacturing, or plastic processing industries.
- Technical Skills: Sound knowledge of twin-screw compounding extruders, color matching, polymer properties, and troubleshooting processing issues.
- Core Competencies: Strong leadership, shift-handling capabilities, problem-solving skills, and basic computer proficiency (MS Excel/ERP systems).
