Responsible for the effective management, maintenance, safety, and availability of biomedical equipment across the LABS. The role ensures that medical equipment is secure, functional, compliant with regulatory requirements, and available for clinical use with minimum downtime.

Key Responsibilities
- Biomedical Equipment Management
- Maintain an updated inventory of all biomedical equipment, including asset details, location, warranty, AMC/CMC, and service history.
- Coordinate installation, commissioning, testing, and acceptance of new medical equipment.
- Ensure proper functioning and availability of critical medical equipment.
- Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance
- Prepare and implement preventive maintenance schedules for biomedical equipment.
- Attend breakdown complaints and ensure timely resolution to minimize equipment downtime.
- Coordinate with authorized vendors/service providers for repairs and technical support.
- Monitor equipment downtime and maintain breakdown/service records.
- Calibration & Quality Assurance
- Ensure timely calibration of equipment as per manufacturer recommendations and hospital requirements.
- Maintain calibration certificates and service reports.
- Verify equipment performance after repair, maintenance, or calibration before releasing it for clinical use.
- Vendor & AMC/CMC Management
- Coordinate with vendors for AMC/CMC, warranty claims, preventive maintenance, and breakdown services.
- Monitor service-level agreements and ensure timely vendor response.
- Review service reports and validate vendor invoices against services provided.
- Support evaluation and selection of vendors for biomedical equipment.

- Provide technical specifications and recommendations for procurement of biomedical equipment.
