Synermed Nigeria is seeking an experienced and dependable Senior Accountant to maintain its accounts in Tally, manage day-to-day finance activities, and provide accurate and timely management information system (MIS) reports.

This is a permanent work-from-home position for a finance professional based anywhere in India. The successful candidate must be comfortable working independently and collaborating remotely with the company’s management and business teams in Nigeria.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounting and Tally
- Maintain complete and accurate books of account in Tally/TallyPrime.
- Record sales, purchases, receipts, payments, journals, debit notes, credit notes, and other accounting transactions.
- Maintain ledgers, cost centres, the chart of accounts, opening balances, and supporting schedules.
- Verify invoices, approvals, payment documents, and other records before posting entries.
- Conduct regular ledger scrutiny and correct inaccurate, duplicate, or incomplete entries.
- Support monthly and annual closing, including accruals, provisions, reconciliations,



and management queries.
- Maintain organised digital records and a transparent audit trail for all transactions.

Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Record and verify supplier invoices and maintain accurate vendor ledgers.
- Monitor payment due dates and prepare information required for supplier payments.
- Raise customer invoices, allocate receipts, and track outstanding collections.
- Prepare accounts payable and receivable ageing reports.
- Reconcile customer and vendor accounts and resolve short payments, unapplied receipts, duplicate entries, and other discrepancies.

Banking and Reconciliations
- Perform timely bank reconciliations for all assigned accounts.
- Reconcile cash, general ledger, customer, vendor, and other control accounts.
- Investigate unreconciled or long-outstanding entries and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain proper reconciliation schedules with explanations and supporting documents.
