About the Role

We're looking for a senior leader to own merchant engagement and drive utu's brand and marketing function - turning signed merchant partnerships into active, high-performing accounts while leading utu's brand and consumer marketing through a small team.

Core Responsibilities

Merchant Engagement Program (MEP)
- Onboarding & Account Management:
Own end-to-end merchant onboarding (processes, timelines, systems access) and serve as the primary strategic relationship owner and custodian for merchant accounts.
- Promotion & Voucher Design:
Design campaign mechanics (redemption thresholds, tiered bonus vouchers,



seasonal offers) within commercial terms to grow in-store sales while protecting margins.
- Data & Economics:
Model expected economics (uplift, cost, ROI) before launch; establish clear guardrails and approval thresholds to ensure scalability and margin safety.
- Performance Optimization:
Continuously test, measure, and refine promotion performance using data to build a playbook by merchant type and category.
- Account Health & Training:
Track merchant performance metrics (redemption rates, sales uplift, satisfaction); direct the MEP team in building merchant-facing training resources for

- Brand Strategy:
Set global strategy for brand visibility, consumer-facing campaigns (social, content), and partner/product launches, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.
