Job Summary
We are looking for a Junior–Mid Level Monitoring Specialist to monitor Aliter-hosted applications, databases and related services and ensure their smooth and reliable operation.
The candidate will work closely with the Senior DevOps Engineer to identify issues, suggest improvements and implement monitoring and operational improvements. The role will also involve using AI-based tools for monitoring and identifying potential issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor Aliter-hosted MongoDB, Node.js, Progress OpenEdge and related services.
- Monitor system health, performance and alerts.
- Identify issues and suggest improvements to improve system reliability.
- Work with the Senior DevOps Engineer to implement approved improvements.
- Monitor cybersecurity-related instances and alerts.
- Ensure all incidents are properly logged and tracked.
- Ensure appropriate Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
is documented for incidents.
- Identify recurring issues and suggest preventive measures.
- Explore and use AI tools to improve monitoring and issue identification.
- Maintain proper documentation of monitoring activities and incidents.
- Participate in rotational weekend/holiday monitoring support when required.
Requirements
- 1–5 years of experience in DevOps, System Monitoring, Infrastructure Monitoring or IT Operations.
- Basic understanding of databases, applications and server monitoring.
- Knowledge of MongoDB, Node.js and/or Progress OpenEdge will be an advantage.
- Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Understanding of incident management and RCA.
- Willingness to learn and work with AI-based monitoring tools.
- Valuable communication and documentation skills.
Weekend/Holiday Support
- Rotational weekend coverage is required.
