Role & responsibilities
- Develop and optimize pharmaceutical intermediates from basic and early-stage raw materials
- Execute laboratory experiments and troubleshoot reactions directly at the site
- Take processes from lab scale pilot scale production/commercial scale
- Optimize processes for yield, purity, cost, robustness, and reproducibility
- Support technology transfer and successful execution of processes in the production plant
- Execute ongoing development projects in coordination with the company's technical partners
- Maintain explicit experimental records, process documentation, and development data
- Identify and resolve technical issues encountered during development and scale-up

Preferred candidate profile
- M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or a related field
- Approximately 7-15 years of relevant industry experience in pharmaceutical intermediate / process development
- Strong hands-on experience in API intermediate development
- Experience in taking products from laboratory development through pilot scale and into commercial production
