Litigation Associate – BLP
Bridgehead Law Partners is looking for a motivated and committed Litigation Associate to join its growing dispute resolution practice. The ideal candidate should possess strong drafting, research, and court procedure skills, with a keen interest in commercial and civil litigation. This role offers significant exposure to litigation before various courts and tribunals across Mumbai.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend and assist in court proceedings before the High Court, City Civil Court, Magistrate Court, National Company Law Tribunal, Debts Recovery Tribunal, Consumer Forum, and other judicial forums across Mumbai.
- Draft pleadings and legal documents, including plaints, petitions, written statements, affidavits, applications, rejoinders, and other litigation-related documents before various courts and tribunals.
- Handle filing of proceedings before various courts and tribunals, ensuring compliance with procedural requirements and timelines.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable legal requirements.
- Maintain case files, monitor court dates,
and support the litigation team in day-to-day case management.
Eligibility
- LL.B. degree from a recognized university.
- Enrolled with the Bar Council.
- 4-5 years of post-qualification experience in litigation.
- Prior exposure to court appearances and drafting.
Desired Skills
- Robust legal drafting and research skills.
- Good understanding of civil and commercial litigation procedures.
- Familiarity with filing procedures before courts and tribunals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple matters, and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to travel across Mumbai for court appearances.
