An Anesthesiologist is a board-certified physician responsible for managing patient safety, pain relief, and vital bodily functions before, during, and after surgical or invasive medical procedures. They evaluate patient health histories to design custom anesthetic plans, administer anesthesia, monitor vital signs in the operating room, and direct immediate post-operative recovery. This role requires close collaboration with surgeons, nurses, and certified registered nurse anesthetists.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Preoperative Assessment: Review patient medical histories, lab results, allergies, and physical health to determine the safest anesthesia plan.
- Anesthesia Administration: Deliver local, regional, or general anesthesia using various methods like intravenous or spinal injections.
- Intraoperative Monitoring: Track patient vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, respiration, and fluid balance) and adjust medication doses dynamically during surgery.
- Airway & Life Support Management: Perform tracheal intubation, manage mechanical ventilation,



and maintain advanced life support systems during medical emergencies.
- Postoperative Care: Oversee patient transition out of anesthesia in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), handle immediate pain management, and determine when a patient can be safely discharged or transferred.
- Team Supervision: Direct and supervise nurse anesthetists, residents, and anesthesia assistants regarding clinical protocols and treatment plans.
- Medical Documentation: Maintain meticulous electronic health records detailing administered drug doses, vital sign timelines, and recovery statuses.

Key Skills & Qualifications
- Educational Background: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Licensure & Certification: Active state medical license and Board Certification in Anesthesiology.
- Clinical Expertise: Deep knowledge of pharmacology, physiology, advanced airway management, and diagnostic test
