- Patient Preparation: Greet patients, explain procedures, check for metal or contraindications, and safely position them on the scanning table. [1, 2, 3]
- Equipment Operation: Set technical parameters (such as exposure or contrast levels), operate the scanner, and capture exact anatomical images. [1]
- Safety Protocols: Follow strict radiation or magnetic safety guidelines to protect patients and staff. Administer contrast dye if certified and monitor for adverse reactions. [1, 2, 3]
- Quality Control: Review images for clarity and accuracy before sending them to radiologists. [1, 2]

For Medical Records/Document Scanning:
- File Collection: Gather physical medical charts, doctor notes,



and patient files from hospital departments.
- Digitization: Feed paper documents into high-speed industrial scanners to convert them into electronic health records (EHR).
- Indexing & Quality Check: Verify image clarity, remove staples/tears, and accurately name/index digital files into the hospital database for doctor access. [1, 2]

Qualifications & Skills
- Education: High school diploma or GED required. Clinical roles require a degree or certification in Radiologic Technology, or specialized CT/MRI training.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with hospital imaging software, EHR systems, or high-volume scanning hardware.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, empathy for sick or anxious patients, and extreme attention to detail.
