The Quality Analyst in Medical Coding is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of medical codes applied to healthcare services in the US. The role involves reviewing medical records, verifying coding accuracy, and ensuring adherence to coding guidelines and regulations, such as ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS. The QA will also be responsible for identifying discrepancies or errors and working with coders and other departments to correct them, ensuring all coding practices meet the highest standards for reimbursement and regulatory compliance.
