Role & responsibilities
- Provision, configure, and maintain Linux servers, preferably Ubuntu/Debian.
- Monitor system health, resource usage, and performance and resolve issues proactively.
- Manage server security, patching, access controls, and service configurations.
- Containerize applications and manage Docker-based deployments.
- Maintain Docker Compose and other container configurations for multi-service applications.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar tools.
- Automate build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
- Manage application releases, versioning, rollbacks, and staged deployments.
- Design and maintain backup strategies for servers, databases, and application data.
- Regularly test restore procedures to ensure backups are recoverable.
- Set up monitoring and alerts to identify failures early.
- Administer PostgreSQL or similar relational databases, including backups and basic performance troubleshooting.
- Support data migration and synchronization between systems when required.




- Work closely with developers to improve deployment workflows and reduce deployment-related issues.
- Maintain clear infrastructure documentation, runbooks, and incident RCA records.

Preferred candidate profile

3+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SysAdmin, or Infrastructure roles.
- Strong Linux administration skills, preferably Ubuntu/Debian.
- Solid experience with Docker and containerized application deployments.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Working knowledge of backup and disaster-recovery practices.
- Comfortable working with PostgreSQL or another relational database.
- Scripting knowledge in Bash and/or Python for automation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Positive understanding of server infrastructure and deployment practices.
