Snowflake Data Modelling
- Design and implement scalable, performant data models in Snowflake following dimensional modelling best practices (Star/Snowflake schema, Data Vault)
- Define and manage Snowflake objects: databases, schemas, tables, views, streams, tasks, and clustering keys
- Optimise query performance through partitioning strategies, clustering, result caching, and materialised views
- Collaborate with data architects to ensure adherence to data modelling standards and governance policies
- Identify and resolve data quality, consistency, and duplication issues across source and target layers

dbt Transformation & Pipeline:
- Build and maintain modular, tested dbt models across staging, intermediate, and mart layers
- Write clean, reusable SQL using dbt macros, Jinja templating, and ref/source dependencies
- Define and enforce dbt tests (schema tests,



custom tests) and document models using dbt docs
- Manage dbt project structure, environments (dev/staging/prod), and CI/CD integration
- Monitor and troubleshoot dbt pipeline failures, lineage breaks, and model performance issues

Collaboration & Delivery:
- Work closely with Analytics Engineers, BI developers, and business stakeholders to gather and translate requirements
- Build well-structured, maintainable data models that accurately reflect business logic
- Participate in code reviews, sprint ceremonies, and documentation practices
- Ensure data models support downstream BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, and Power BI
