Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for cost estimation and cost optimization activities for RFQ (Request for Quotation) parts.
- Responsible for completion of new part sample preparation activities, including Proto and Production Tools.
- Responsible for preparation and approval of MFR (Manufacturing Feasibility Report) before the start of New Product Development activities.
- Responsible for preparation, monitoring, and adherence to APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) timing plans.
- Responsible for regular follow-up with customers, internal stakeholders, and suppliers to ensure activities are completed as per the APQP timeline.
- Responsible for preparation and maintenance of product files in accordance with customer and system requirements.
- Responsible for conducting New Product Development (NPD) trials and troubleshooting related issues during development and validation stages.
- Responsible for handling customer interactions and participating in technical discussions regarding product development and implementation.
- Responsible for preparation, documentation, and submission of APQP and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documents.
- Responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives and implementing cost-saving projects.
- Responsible for ensuring successful NPD safe launch activities and smooth handover of developed products to the manufacturing team.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and Recent Product Development processes.
- Experience in rubber component or automotive component development.
- Strong technical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to coordinate with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of manufacturing feasibility studies and process validation.
- Good communication and project management skills.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and automotive industry standards.
