Job Summary: Our client is hiring for a Plant manager who manages the overall plant operations and ensures smooth, productive, safe and cost-effective production while achieving production targets, maintaining quality standards, controlling costs and ensuring timely delivery of finished products.
Job Responsibilities:
Plant Operations
Manage day-to-day operations of the manufacturing plant. Plan and monitor production as per project and customer requirements. Ensure achievement of daily, weekly and monthly production targets. Optimize manpower, machines, materials and production capacity. Monitor production flow from raw material processing to finished goods. Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions. Ensure proper coordination between Production, Planning, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Maintenance and Dispatch.
Production Planning & Control
Prepare and monitor production plans based on orders and delivery schedules.
Ensure production is carried out as per approved specifications and BOM. Monitor machine capacity and manpower utilization. Reduce production downtime, rejection, rework and material wastage. Review daily production reports and take corrective action for shortfalls.
Quality Management
Ensure products are manufactured according to defined quality standards. Coordinate with QC to reduce defects, rejection and customer complaints. Establish process controls at critical stages of production. Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively.
Manpower Management
Plan manpower requirements based on production workload. Allocate manpower effectively across different production sections. Monitor employee productivity and attendance. Train and develop supervisors and production teams. Establish performance standards and productivity targets.Maintain discipline and ensure compliance with company policies.
