Role & responsibilities
- Design and develop machine components, sheet metal parts, and assemblies using SolidWorks.
- Prepare 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings, flat patterns, and BOMs as per production requirements.
- Ensure designs are suitable for laser cutting, CNC bending, fabrication, machining, and assembly.
- Coordinate with Production, Fabrication, and Engineering teams to resolve design issues and improve quality, manufacturability, and cost efficiency.
Preferred candidate profile
- Experience in Mechanical Design with hands-on experience in SolidWorks.
- Strong knowledge of SolidWorks Part, Assembly, Drawing & Sheet Metal modules.
- Valuable understanding of sheet metal fabrication, laser cutting, CNC bending, welding, bend allowance and K-factor.
- Knowledge of mechanical drawings, GD&T;, tolerances, BOM and manufacturing processes; experience in machine design/manufacturing industry preferred.
