Production Supervisor – Job Description

Job Title: Production Supervisor
Department: Manufacturing/Production
Reports To: Production Manager / Plant Manager

Job Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring output targets are met safely, on time, and within quality standards. This role manages a team of production workers, coordinates with other departments, and drives continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and supervise daily production activities to meet production schedules and targets
- Assign tasks and shifts to production staff, monitor workload distribution
- Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies
- Train, coach, and evaluate production staff performance
- Identify and resolve production issues, equipment malfunctions, or workflow bottlenecks
- Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation




- Coordinate with quality control, maintenance, logistics, and other departments
- Implement and support lean manufacturing/continuous improvement initiatives
- Enforce discipline and address employee performance or conduct issues
- Conduct regular team briefings/toolbox talks
- Manage inventory of raw materials and finished goods on the floor
- Ensure machinery and equipment are properly maintained and operated

Work Environment

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
