Hardware Design Engineer
Mandatory Skills
- Minimum 4 years of handson experience in automotive ECU hardware development.
- Practical experience working with 32bit microcontrollers, DCDC converters, power MOSFETs, MOSFET drivers, and TVS/ESD protection components.
- Working knowledge of automotive communication protocols: CAN, LIN, SPI, IC, UART.
- Experience performing Worst-Case Analysis (WCA) for critical circuits and component performance evaluation.
- Ability to prepare and support engineering documents such as DFMEA and DRBFM, and and Hardware Software Interface (H2S) documentation.
- Experience preparing circuitlevel test plans, EMI/EMC test plans, and environmental test plans.
- Handson experience with hardware validation, including EMI/EMC testing and debugging.
- Robust troubleshooting skills for circuit issues.
- Proficiency with design tools like Altium Designer and simulation tools such as LTSPICE.
- Knowledge of designing hardware to meet automotive EMI/EMC standards: CISPR 25, ISO 7637, ISO 16750, ISO 11451.
- Understanding of ECU deliverables such as schematics, PCB releases, manufacturing file releases, and hardware revision control.
- Exposure to RFQ support, cost estimation, or technical proposal preparation is an added advantage.
- Handson experience with lab instruments: oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators, LCR meters, spectrum analyzers, thermal chambers, data loggers etc,.
