Role & responsibilities :
- Role / Designation: Pricing Specialist General Logistics (Exports)
- Department: Pricing / Procurement / Commercial
- Location: Mylapore, Chennai (Work from Office)
- Experience Required: 5+ Years

Key Responsibilities:
- Rate Procurement & Quoting: Procure and negotiate competitive export freight rates directly from shipping lines and commercial airlines for General Logistics.
- CBM & Weight Calculations: Accurately calculate CBM for ocean freight and volume/chargeable weight for air cargo shipments.
- Equipment & Aircraft Planning: Analyze cargo dimensions to determine the optimal container/equipment type for ocean freight and evaluate suitable aircraft types/capacities for air freight.
- Carrier Relationship Management:



Maintain strong working relationships with ocean carriers and airline pricing desks to secure allocations and competitive spot rates.
- Commercial Alignment: Provide timely and accurate export quotations to internal sales and customer service teams.

Preferred candidate profile :
- Experience: 5+ years of dedicated pricing experience in freight forwarding/logistics handling ocean and air exports.
- Core Competencies: Strong analytical and mathematical skills (CBM & volumetric calculations), thorough knowledge of container types/aircraft limitations, and rate negotiation skills.
- Work Mode: Must be comfortable working on-site from our Mylapore, Chennai office.
