About the Role
We are looking for an energetic and confident Senior Purchase Manager to lead our procurement function. The ideal candidate is sharp, proactive, and a robust negotiator who can manage vendors and control costs without compromising on quality or timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end procurement of [raw materials / components / services]
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors; negotiate rates, credit terms, and delivery schedules
- Float RFQs, compare quotations, and finalise purchase orders
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production/stores to avoid shortages or overstocking
- Track deliveries and resolve quality, quantity, or documentation issues with suppliers
- Maintain purchase records, vendor database, and MIS reports
- Drive cost-reduction initiatives and alternate vendor development
- Coordinate with accounts for bill passing and payment follow-ups
Requirements
- 3–8 years of hands-on experience in purchase/procurement
- Graduate/Postgraduate; degree in Supply Chain, Commerce, or Engineering preferred
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills
- Confident communicator with a smart, professional presence
- Working knowledge of ERP/Tally/SAP and MS Excel
- Willing to travel for vendor visits as required
