Merci is a current women's Indian ethnic wear brand launching in Chennai — sarees, kurtas, kaftans, and fusion pieces in the festive-not-bridal space, for women who want something beyond the everyday but don't need bridal-level formality.
We're looking for someone who has taken a brand's social presence from zero to launched before, and can do it again for us.

What you'll own:
The 0-to-1 social media launch plan for Instagram, Facebook — pre-launch waitlist building through launch week and the first 60–90 days live
The content calendar, coordinated with our photography/video assets and product drops
Captions, stories, and reels sequencing (working alongside our video editor)
Community management — DMs, comments, engagement as the audience builds
Coordination with our influencer outreach for launch-week amplification




Growth and engagement reporting — what's working, what isn't

What we need:
Proven experience launching at least one brand's social presence from scratch — tell us which brand and what the first 30 days looked like
Deep, current fluency in Instagram (algorithm, Reels, Stories); fashion/apparel experience preferred
Comfortable working independently with a founder-led team and quick decision cycles
Based in or able to work closely with our team in Chennai.

Nice to have:
D2C fashion or lifestyle brand experience specifically

Engagement: Contract, ~3–4 months (pre-launch through early post-launch), with the option to extend into an ongoing retainer if it's a solid fit
