Background Verification (BGV) Intern / Trainee Job Overview

We are looking for a background verification intern / trainee to join our background verification team. The candidate will receive hands-on training in the end-to-end BGV process, including employment verification, education verification, document validation, candidate follow-ups, case tracking, and report preparation.

This role is ideal for freshers or graduates who are interested in building a career in background verification, HR operations, recruitment operations, or compliance.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the team in handling end-to-end Background Verification (BGV) cases.
- Perform employment and education verification as per client requirements and process guidelines.
- Contact previous employers, educational institutions, and verification sources through phone and email.
- Collect and validate required documents and information from candidates.
- Follow up with candidates and verification sources for pending documents or responses.
- Analyze the information received and identify discrepancies or missing details.




- Update case status, verification results, and follow-up details in the internal system/MIS.
- Prepare accurate verification reports based on the information received.
- Ensure assigned cases are completed within defined turnaround time (TAT).
- Maintain proper documentation and records for all assigned cases.
- Escalate discrepancies, exceptions, or difficult cases to the concerned team members.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and data privacy while handling candidate information.
- Coordinate with internal teams and clients whenever required.
- Perform other operational activities related to the BGV process as assigned.
