The Senior Quality Checker is responsible for ensuring that garments are manufactured according to approved specifications, quality standards, measurements, workmanship requirements, and customer requirements. The role involves inspecting garments at different stages of production, identifying defects, guiding junior checkers/operators, and maintaining quality records.
Garment Quality Inspection
- Inspect garments during in-line, end-line and final inspection.
- Check garments for stitching, measurements, workmanship, appearance and finishing.
- Identify major, minor and critical defects.Defect Identification
- Common defects to be checked include:
- Open seam / broken stitch
- Skip stitch / loose stitch
- Uneven stitching
- Puckering
- Needle damage
- Stain / oil mark
- Quality Control & Corrective Action
- Identify the root cause of recurring defects.
- Coordinate with production supervisors and operators for corrective action.
- Production Coordination
- Coordinate with Cutting, Sewing, Finishing, Production and Packing departments.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain and update:
- Inline inspection reports
- End-line inspection reports
- Final inspection reports
