About the Role

A leading US CPA firm is expanding its audit team in Hyderabad and is looking for experienced Audit Associates, Audit Supervisors, and Audit Managers with strong exposure to US Audit. Candidates with experience in Affordable Housing, LIHTC, HUD, RD, NFP, or Real Estate audits will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities
- Execute audit procedures for Affordable Housing engagements, including testing of financial statements, account balances, and disclosures.
- Perform substantive testing of cash, debt, fixed assets, rental income, operating expenses, and partner capital accounts.
- Perform or review compliance testing for complex engagements, including HUD, RD, and NFP audits.
- Prepare, review, and maintain high-quality audit workpapers in accordance with US GAAS and firm methodologies.
- Review engagement letters, partnership allocations, investor contributions, and compliance requirements to identify audit risks and exceptions.
- Collaborate with US engagement teams and clients to obtain audit evidence and resolve audit queries.




- Ensure engagements are completed accurately and within established deadlines.
- Prepare and review 10% certifications, contractor certifications, owner certifications, and DCRs.
- Identify audit issues, exceptions, and areas requiring additional investigation or documentation.
- For Supervisor/Manager-level candidates: review team members' work, manage engagement timelines, and communicate with US engagement teams and clients.

Preferred Experience
- Experience in US GAAP / US Audit.
- Exposure to Affordable Housing / Real Estate audits is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) engagements will be an advantage.
- Experience with HUD, Rural Development (RD), and NFP audits is preferred.
- Strong understanding of audit documentation, substantive testing, internal controls, and financial statement disclosures.
