Role Description The DO-178 Cert Engineer is a full time, in office role based in Bengaluru. This role involves planning, executing, and documenting software certification activities in accordance with DO-178B guidelines, including requirements analysis, verification, and compliance evidence generation. The engineer collaborates with design, development,



and quality teams to ensure avionics software artifacts meet regulatory and customer requirements. Daily tasks include reviewing and auditing life-cycle documents, supporting certification and qualification efforts, coordinating with external certification agencies, and contributing to process improvements aligned with applicable standards. The role also requires explicit reporting on certification status, risks, and mitigation plans to project leadership.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of DO-178B (and preferably DO-178C) processes, including planning, requirements, design, implementation, verification, and configuration management.
Experience with avionics or safety-critical embedded software development and certification, including familiarity with DO-254 and related aerospace or automotive standards (e.g., ISO 26262).
