early product-building and testing stage
and are looking for a Food Standardization Expert who can help create the scientific and operational foundation for consistent food production at scale.
As a Food Standardization Expert at Kefilo, your primary responsibilities would include:
- Develop and standardize Kefilo's recipes for taste, nutrition, portion size, consistency, cost, and scalability.
- Convert recipes into detailed standardized recipe cards, BOMs, production SOPs, and preparation protocols.
- Define exact ingredient specifications, quantities, cooking methods, temperatures, timings, yields, portion sizes, and acceptable variations.
- Calculate and validate nutritional values, including calories, protein, carbohydrates, fats, fibre, and key micronutrients.
- Work closely with nutritionists and food scientists to ensure every product meets its intended nutritional profile.
- Conduct trials and optimize recipes for commercial-scale and bulk production, not just home or restaurant preparation.
- Develop processes that allow the same product to be reproduced consistently across different kitchens and manufacturing partners.
- Establish quality parameters for raw materials, finished products, taste, texture, appearance, portioning, and nutritional consistency.
