Our client is seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior Asset Manager to lead the comprehensive management of our hardware and software assets. This is a senior individual-contributor role responsible for setting strategy and policy across the full asset lifecycle, driving compliance, and delivering cost-saving initiatives.
You will operate with solid command of both Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM), serving as the subject-matter expert and primary partner to Finance, Procurement, and IT leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for the full lifecycle of all IT assets — hardware and software — from acquisition through disposal.
- Lead the creation and enforcement of policies for HAM and SAM, ensuring alignment with business objectives, industry best practice, and audit requirements.
- Oversee and optimize asset refresh and retirement processes across the hardware fleet and software estate to maximize value and minimize risk. Financial & Compliance Oversight
- Manage software license entitlements, true-ups,
and renewals to maintain continuous SAM compliance and mitigate audit exposure.
- Own hardware inventory accuracy and lifecycle compliance across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments.
- Collaborate closely with Procurement and Finance to negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships, and identify cost-saving opportunities through reuse, rightsizing, and license reallocation.
- Provide strategic financial analysis and produce leadership-level reporting on asset utilization, compliance posture, and savings opportunities. Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
