We are looking for an experienced
Guidewire Rating Developer
with strong hands-on expertise in
Guidewire PolicyCenter and Rating
. The ideal candidate should have experience designing, configuring, developing, and maintaining rating solutions for Property & Casualty (P&C;) insurance products.
The candidate will work closely with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and other Guidewire developers to translate insurance rating requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, configure, and enhance
Guidewire PolicyCenter Rating
solutions.
- Implement and maintain
Rating Engine
configurations and rating logic.
- Work extensively with
Rate Books, Rate Tables, Rate Routines, and Rating Worksheets
.
- Develop and customize business logic using
Gosu
.
- Configure and enhance the
PolicyCenter Product Model
.
- Translate complex insurance pricing and rating requirements into Guidewire solutions.
- Implement rating factors, modifiers, parameters, and calculations based on business requirements.
- Troubleshoot rating discrepancies and resolve PolicyCenter configuration issues.
- Perform unit testing, debugging, code reviews, and defect resolution.
- Work with Guidewire integrations and APIs wherever required.
- Collaborate with business, functional, QA, and development teams throughout the SDLC.
- Follow Guidewire development standards and best practices.
Mandatory Skills
- 5+ years of overall relevant IT/Guidewire experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with
Guidewire PolicyCenter

- Robust hands-on experience with
Guidewire Rating
.
- Experience with
Rating Engine
configuration and customization.
- Hands-on experience with
Rate Books / Rate Tables / Rate Routines
.
- Strong programming experience in
Gosu
.
- Experience with
PolicyCenter Product Model and configuration

- Good understanding of
Property & Casualty (P&C;) Insurance
.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
