We are hiring a Head of Supply Chain & Operations for an established, profitable, VC-backed B2B supply chain platform serving marquee enterprise and manufacturing clients across India. The business operates at significant scale with a pan-India footprint and counts some of India's and the world's largest FMCG, consumer goods, and industrial companies among its clients. This is a high-impact leadership role owning the complete supply chain and operations function end-to-end.
Key responsibilities
Supply chain strategy & order fulfilment
- Define and execute supply chain strategy covering order fulfilment, contract manufacturing, in-house manufacturing, and strategic sourcing
- Ensure cost-effective procurement, quality adherence, and on-time delivery across all regions
- Drive continuous improvement in fulfilment speed, accuracy, and service standards
Sourcing & procurement
- Develop local and central sourcing strategies for key materials and categories
- Build and manage a solid vendor ecosystem ensuring best commercials, reliability, and timely fulfilment
Operations management
- Oversee a large pan-India operations team of 150+ across regional hubs
- Streamline processes, manage timelines, and maintain high operational standards across regions
- Drive data-driven decision-making through robust KPIs and performance monitoring frameworks
Inventory & demand planning
- Lead inventory planning to optimise stock levels and reduce working capital costs
- Leverage demand forecasting to align supply chain activities with business growth needs
Team & stakeholder leadership
- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing, multi-regional operations team
- Partner closely with business development and client-facing teams on RFQs and client satisfaction
Ideal candidate
- 18+ years of experience in supply chain and operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
- Strong background in manufacturing environments — plant operations, supply
