Role Description The Owner at Prabhat NGO is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Ahmedabad. The role involves providing strategic direction, overseeing program development, and ensuring that all initiatives align with the organization’s mission and values. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing operations, supervising staff and volunteers, monitoring project performance, and maintaining compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The Owner will build and maintain relationships with donors, partners, and government bodies, while also leading fundraising efforts and budget planning. This position also requires active participation in community meetings, reviewing program reports, and making data-informed decisions to strengthen impact.
Qualifications
Proven leadership and management abilities, including experience overseeing teams, budgets, and organizational operations.
Robust strategic planning, decision-making,



and problem-solving skills relevant to nonprofit or social sector work.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills for engaging with donors, partners, and community members.
Background in social work, community development, public administration, or a related field is highly beneficial.
Demonstrated experience in fundraising, grant writing, and resource mobilization for nonprofit initiatives.
Ability to work on-site in Ahmedabad, with a high level of commitment, integrity, and accountability.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline preferred; extensive relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Familiarity with local socio-economic issues, government schemes, and regulatory frameworks impacting NGOs is an advantage.
