Game FX Artist — 2D & 3D

Role Overview

We are looking for a creative Game FX Artist who is interested in creating 2D and 3D visual effects for games. The ideal candidate should have a good eye for motion, timing, impact, and visual storytelling.

Responsibilities
Create engaging 2D and 3D FX for gameplay and game UI.
Create effects such as explosions, sparks, smoke, fire, dust, energy, magic, impacts, trails, glows, and environmental effects.
Create FX that are visually appealing while being optimized for real-time game performance.
Work with artists, designers, and developers to implement FX into the game.
Create and modify textures, flipbooks, particles, and other FX elements.
Develop effects based on concept art, references, and gameplay requirements.
Iterate on FX based on feedback from the art and development teams.
Maintain organized project files and follow the team's technical requirements.

Requirements
Basic understanding of 2D and/or 3D game FX.
Knowledge of particle systems and basic animation principles.




Basic knowledge of software such as After Effects, Photoshop, Blender, Maya, or similar tools.
Understanding of timing, motion, anticipation, impact, and visual readability.
Good creative sense and willingness to experiment.
Ability to learn recent tools and workflows quickly.
Basic understanding of Unity or Unreal Engine is a plus.

Fresher-Friendly

Freshers with strong FX experiments, personal projects, college projects, or a good showreel are encouraged to apply. Professional experience is not mandatory.

A portfolio/showreel is required. It can include 2D FX, 3D FX, particle effects, animation tests, VFX experiments, or game-related projects.
