Job Description

This individual will be responsible for owning the general ledger of a rapid-growing and energetic government contractor

Responsibilities:
Timely performance of the month-end close process including preparation of monthly financial reports
Reconciling all G/L accounts and insuring transparency
Manage the Payroll, AP, and AR functions.
Liaison with HR to insure payroll, timekeeping, and leave accuracy and completeness
Implement and manage best practice accounting and internal control procedures and ensure compliance.
Provide direction and oversight of the annual audit process and preparation of annual financial statements.




Assist in the compiling of all P&L; data
Maintain cost pools and ensure proper allocations
Evaluate, manage and motivate direct reports.
Ensure compliance to GAAP, FAR, and CAS

Qualifications and Skills :
5+ years of progressively responsible work experience supporting accounting operations, preferably in government contracting
BS or BA in Accounting or related field
Experience with Deltek Costpoint required
Supervisory experience managing staff accountants.
