The DG Operator is responsible for the protected operation, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Diesel Generator (DG) sets and associated electrical systems to ensure uninterrupted power supply and productive equipment performance at the Medical substation.
Key Responsibilities
Operate DG sets in manual/auto mode and monitor parameters such as voltage, load, frequency, power factor, temperature, oil pressure, battery voltage and running hours.
Conduct routine inspections of engine oil, coolant, fuel system, lubrication system, battery, filters, exhaust system, alternator, AVR and associated electrical panels.
Identify and rectify minor leaks, loose connections and operational abnormalities, and report major faults to the concerned authority.
Maintain adequate diesel stock, perform diesel filling/unloading activities and monitor fuel consumption.
Carry out preventive maintenance activities including cleaning of radiator fins,
earthing system inspection, panel maintenance (HT/LT/PLC/AMF), no-load testing and utility area housekeeping.
Coordinate with vendors for annual preventive maintenance, replacement of oil, filters and testing of synchronization, AMF and earthing systems.
Maintain daily logbooks, DG parameter records, fuel consumption reports, maintenance reports and breakdown records.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures, use of PPE and proper housekeeping of DG and utility areas.
Qualification & Experience
ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical or relevant trade.
Experience in DG operation, electrical maintenance or facility management preferred.
Pay: ₹15,220.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
