A Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications accurately, ensuring secure drug usage, maintaining pharmacy records, and providing guidance to patients and healthcare professionals regarding medicines.
Key Responsibilities
Dispense prescribed medicines accurately according to doctor prescriptions.
Verify prescriptions for dosage, interactions, and allergies.
Provide proper instructions to patients regarding medicine usage, dosage, and side effects.
Maintain pharmacy stock and ensure availability of medicines.
Monitor expiry dates and remove expired medicines from stock.
Maintain narcotic and scheduled drug registers as per regulations.
Coordinate with doctors and nursing staff regarding medication requirements.
Ensure proper storage conditions for medicines and medical supplies.
Prepare purchase requests and receive pharmacy stock.
Maintain daily pharmacy reports and billing records.
Follow hospital policies, NABH standards, and pharmacy regulations.
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area.
Qualification
Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) / Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm)
Registered Pharmacist certification is mandatory.
Experience
Fresher or experienced candidates can apply.
Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
