Key Responsibilities
A Draftsperson creates technical drawings, mostly used in construction and manufacturing.
They often work in conjunction with Architects. Their work aids the construction of buildings, infrastructure and aircraft, among other things.
A Draftsperson usually uses computer-aided design (CAD) principles.
Monitor production data: Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement
Create technical drawings using CAD software
Convert sketches and verbal instructions into CAD drawings
Prepare layouts, assembly diagrams, and bills of materials
Revise drawings to meet client feedback and project changes
Ensure drawings meet industry standards and regulations
