Role & responsibilities
Train persons with vison impairment and their families in various vocational skills, including tailoring and other livelihood-oriented skills.
Provide hands-on training and support based on the individuals abilities, interests and vocational goals.
Adapt teaching methods and training materials to suit persons with visual impairment.
Support trainees in developing skills for independent living, self-employment and livelihood prospects.
Assess the trainee’s progress and maintain appropriate training records and documentation.
Participate in departmental activities, camps, awareness programs, community-based rehabilitation activities and other IVR initiatives.
Work closely with the rehabilitation team and contribute to the overall rehabilitation goals of the individual.
