This role is required to pull the data from current SAP HR system in a Workday format for data conversion / data load,
Candidate should be aware of the SAP Extraction and Transformation methodology and tools
A prior experience to understand WD transformation from SAP will be an added advantage
Lead end-to-end development and enhancement of SAP ABAP applications within the HR module.
Architect and implement scalable solutions for infotype processing, payroll schemas, time evaluations, and PA/OM data.
Oversee integration of SAP HR systems with third-party and cloud-based platforms using BAPIs, IDOCs, RFCs, and web services.
Conduct advanced debugging, performance optimization, and code reviews for junior developers.
Manage technical specifications, development timelines, and cross-functional collaboration across business units.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for all technical deliverables,
from design through deployment.
Required Skills & Experience:
7+ years of hands-on experience with SAP ABAP, with at least 4 years focused on HR modules.
Expertise in custom reports, interfaces, enhancements (User Exits/BADIs), and forms (SMARTFORMS/Adobe).
Advanced knowledge of HR infotypes, schemas, rules, and integration with Time & Payroll modules.
Solid understanding of SAP HCM architecture and legacy-to-contemporary migration strategies.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a knack for mentoring and technical leadership.
Familiarity with ETL tools and data conversion utilities relevant to SAP and Workday.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working alongside Workday or SAP SuccessFactors in hybrid HR landscapes.
Exposure to SAP Fiori/UI5 development in HR contexts.
Familiarity with SAP HR Renewal or newer UX technologies.
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent; SAP certification a plus
