The Assistant Accounts Manager is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations of the manufacturing plant, ensuring accurate financial records, statutory filings, cost control, and timely reporting to management.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance
Maintain books of accounts including Sales Invoices, Purchase Invoices, journal entries, party ledgers, and reconciliations
Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Prepare Monthly plant-wise Profit & Loss
Reconciliation of statutory data such as GST, TDS, PT, PF, ESIC
Manufacturing & Cost Accounting
Track raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory valuation
Coordinate with stores and production teams for stock verification
Support month-end stock closing and reconciliation
Prepare monthly RG 1 Report
Statutory Filings
Prepare data related to statutory filings such as GST & TDS
Ensure timely filing of returns and maintenance of statutory records
Support internal and external audits and provide required data
Accounts Payable & Receivable
Monitor vendor payments and ensure timely processing
Reconcile vendor and customer accounts
Assist in credit control and follow-up for receivables
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Commerce (B.Com) Mandatory
M.Com, MBA (Finance) – Preferred
Experience
5 - 8 years of experience in accounts and finance
Prior experience in a manufacturing plant is mandatory
Skills & Competencies
Robust knowledge of accounting principles and statutory filings
Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Tally / similar)
Proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting
Valuable coordination and communication skills
