Key Responsibilities
Procure export-quality sweet corn from farmers, FPOs, and local suppliers.
Develop and maintain a strong network of growers and procurement partners.
Visit farms regularly to monitor crop growth, maturity, and harvesting schedules.
Ensure procurement is carried out as per export quality standards.
Coordinate harvesting, collection, grading, and transportation to the packhouse.
Negotiate procurement prices while maintaining long-term farmer relationships.
Plan procurement volumes based on export orders and production forecasts.
Ensure traceability and maintain procurement documentation.
Coordinate with Quality, Packhouse, and Export teams for smooth operations.
Resolve farmer queries and provide technical guidance wherever required.
Monitor market trends, crop availability, and competitor procurement activities.
Ensure compliance with food safety and export regulations.
Key Skills
Experience in sweet corn procurement for export or processing industries.
Valuable understanding of sweet corn cultivation,
harvesting, and post-harvest handling.
Solid farmer relationship and negotiation skills.
Knowledge of grading and export quality specifications.
Planning, coordination, and supply chain management skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems is an added advantage.
Fluent in Marathi, Hindi, and English.
Willingness to travel extensively to farming locations.

45 years of hands-on experience in sweet corn procurement.

Ability to work under tight procurement schedules during the harvesting season.
