The Opportunity

We need one person who can do two things exceptionally well: **design polished product UI in Figma**, and **turn that product into scroll-stopping short-form video**.

Our web app works, but it looks developer-built — you'll elevate it. And once it looks great, you'll be the one making the 15–60 second reels, demo clips, and animated explainers that put it in front of educators and students worldwide.

Design in Figma → animate it → ship it to the feed. Full loop, one owner.

What You'll Do

**Figma / Product Design (≈60%)**

→ **Audit & refine** existing UI screens for visual polish and professional aesthetics

→ Build a cohesive **design system** — typography, color, spacing, components, variants

→ Create reusable **component libraries** with auto-layout for clean developer handoff

→ Design **interactive prototypes** that communicate flow and intent

→ Improve **visual hierarchy, whitespace, and micro-interaction** specs

→ Ensure **responsive design** across desktop, tablet, and mobile

**Motion Graphics / Short Video (≈40%)**

→ Produce **short-form videos** for Instagram Reels, You Tube Shorts, and Linked In — product teasers, feature drops, launch clips





→ Create **animated product demos and explainers** that make complex EdTech workflows feel simple

→ Design **UI motion** — screen transitions, loaders, onboarding animations, empty states

→ Export production-ready **Lottie/Rive** animations for developers to implement

→ Handle **end-to-end video**: storyboard → animate → edit → sound design → captions → export

→ Adapt every asset across **9:16, 1:1, and 16:9** without losing impact

→ Maintain a consistent **brand motion language** across all content

What You Bring

**Must-Have:**

→ 2+ years designing **UI for web/SaaS products** with motion or video work in the mix

→ **Expert-level Figma** — components, auto-layout, variants, prototyping, design systems

→ Strong **After Effects** skills — keyframes, easing, masking, expressions basics

→ Proven ability to produce **short-form video content** end-to-end (edit, pace, caption, export)

→ Solid grasp of **animation principles** — timing, easing, anticipation, weight

→ Portfolio **and showreel** — static screens alone won't cut it

→ Understanding of **platform-native formats** and what actually performs on Reels/Shorts

→ Solid eye for **detail, consistency, and pixel-perfect execution**

→ Ability to take **developer-built UI** and make it look intentional

**Good-to-Have:**

→ **Lottie / Rive** experience and handoff to React developers

→ **Premiere Pro,



Cap Cut, or DaVinci Resolve** for editing and color

→ Familiarity with **React/Tailwind** conventions (no coding required)

→ **Sound design** basics — music selection, sync, SFX layering

→ **Illustration or 3D** (Blender, Spline) for original visual assets

→ Experience in **EdTech or B2B SaaS**

→ Knowledge of **accessibility (WCAG)** and reduced-motion best practices

→ Comfort with **AI design/video tools** (Figma AI, Runway, Galileo, Uizard)
