Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Chef de Partie (CDP) – Bakery & Pastry to join our culinary team. The CDP will be responsible for managing the bakery/pastry section, ensuring consistent product quality, efficient production, and high standards of hygiene and food safety.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the preparation and production of breads, pastries, cakes, desserts, and other bakery products.
- Manage the bakery/pastry station, ensuring proper organization, stock availability, and equipment maintenance.
- Ensure consistency in taste, texture, quality, presentation, and portioning.
- Supervise, train, and mentor Commis Chefs and apprentices.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, FSSAI, and food safety & hygiene standards.
- Coordinate with the Sous Chef/Head Baker on new product development and recipe improvements.
- Monitor ingredient usage, minimize wastage,



and support inventory and cost management.
- Ensure production targets and schedules are met, particularly during peak periods.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

Qualifications & Skills

- 5–10 years of relevant experience in bakery/pastry operations, preferably with experience as a Chef de Partie.
- Strong knowledge of bread making, pastry techniques, cake production, and baking science.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a rapid-paced kitchen environment.
- Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
- Knowledge of inventory management, production planning, and cost control.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Creativity and innovation in recipe development and presentation.
- Proficiency in operating commercial bakery and pastry equipment.
