We are seeking an experienced and vigilant Safety Officer to join our health and safety team. In this role, you will be responsible for enforcing safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring a zero-accident environment across our steel manufacturing and TMT rolling mill operations. You will protect our workforce from high-heat hazards, heavy machinery risks, and hazardous gasses while maintaining strict legal compliance.Key Responsibilities

- Daily Inspections: Conduct routine safety audits of the blast furnace, SMS (Steel Melting Shop), and TMT rolling mills to eliminate hazards.
- Risk Management: Develop and update HIRA (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment) protocols for all heavy machinery and molten metal processes.
- Permit to Work (PTW): Issue and monitor daily work permits for high-risk tasks, including confined space entry, height work, and hot work.
- LOTO Enforcement: Oversee strict Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO)



procedures during mechanical and electrical equipment maintenance.
- Gas & Environmental Monitoring: Continuously track and manage toxic gas levels (such as Carbon Monoxide) and ambient dust levels in the plant.
- Incident Investigation: Lead root-cause analysis for any near-misses, injuries, or equipment damage, and submit detailed corrective action reports.
- Safety Training: Conduct mandatory tool-box talks, fire drill practices, and specialized PPE training for employees and contract laborers.
