Position Overview:

The Assistant Professor in Mathematics will play a key role in delivering high-quality mathematics education to undergraduate and possibly graduate students. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to curriculum development, engage in research activities, and actively participate in the academic and administrative functions of the mathematics department.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching: Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and workshops in various mathematics courses. Develop and update course materials to ensure they align with academic standards and emerging trends. Foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills among students.

Research: Engage in active research in mathematics and related fields, with a focus on contributing to scholarly publications. Collaborate with colleagues and students on research projects. Stay current with developments in mathematics and related disciplines.

Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and enhancement of the mathematics curriculum. Incorporate innovative teaching methods and technologies into course delivery. Ensure that course content is aligned with industry needs and academic best practices.

Academic Advising: Advise and mentor students on academic matters, including course selection and career planning. Encourage and support student research initiatives, projects, and academic development.





Departmental Service: Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and academic events. Assist in administrative tasks related to program management and accreditation.
Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a vibrant academic community.

Professional Development: Engage in ongoing career development through conferences, workshops, and research activities. Pursue opportunities for further education and skill enhancement.

Qualifications & Experiences:

- A Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in Mathematics is preferred. Candidates with a master's degree and significant teaching or research experience may be considered.
- Minimum 3 years experience as a mathematics lecturer in a engineering college
- Demonstrated expertise in mathematics with a record of research and scholarly contributions.
- Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute positively to the academic environment.
- Familiarity with educational technologies and online teaching platforms is advantageous.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
