Elegant Interiors is an interior design and turnkey execution firm working across residential, commercial, and turnkey interior projects. We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor / Interior Estimation & Costing Manager to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for project estimation, BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, budgeting, rate analysis, vendor quotation comparison, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Summary

The candidate will work closely with our Design, Procurement, Project Execution, Site and Accounts teams to ensure accurate project costing, effective budgeting, and proper control of project expenses.

The candidate should have practical knowledge of interior materials, construction methods, labour costing, vendor rates, and turnkey project execution.

Key ResponsibilitiesEstimation & BOQ

- Study architectural, interior and technical drawings.
- Prepare detailed BOQs and quantity take-offs.
- Prepare accurate project estimates and budgets.
- Conduct rate analysis for materials, labour and subcontractor works.
- Prepare client quotations based on project scope and specifications.
- Identify scope gaps, exclusions and potential cost risks.

Costing & Vendor Management

- Obtain and compare quotations from vendors and subcontractors.
- Analyse current market rates for materials and services.
- Maintain and update material and labour rate databases.
- Coordinate with procurement for cost-effective purchasing.
- Negotiate with vendors and subcontractors wherever required.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and value engineering.

Project Cost Control





- Monitor project costs against approved budgets.
- Track actual material, labour and subcontractor costs.
- Verify measurements and vendor/subcontractor bills.
- Monitor additional works, variations and change orders.
- Prepare project cost reports and cost-to-complete estimates.
- Identify and report potential cost overruns to management.

Project Coordination

- Coordinate with Design, Procurement, Project Management, Site and Accounts teams.
- Clarify scope, quantities and costing requirements.
- Support project managers with commercial and costing decisions.
- Maintain proper records of BOQs, estimates, quotations, budgets and revisions.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Interior Estimation & Costing
- Excellent understanding of BOQ preparation and quantity take-offs
- Robust MS Excel skills
- Ability to read and understand architectural/interior drawings
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred
- Good knowledge of interior materials and specifications
- Understanding of vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Strong analytical and numerical skills




- Good negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail

Qualification & Experience

- Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Interior Design, or a related field.
- 3–7 years of relevant experience in interior estimation, quantity surveying, fit-out, construction or turnkey projects.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in interior project costing, BOQ preparation and rate analysis will be preferred.
