Job Summary
Apollo Clinic, Electronic City is looking for a Medical Transcriptionist to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for ultrasound report typing, medical documentation, transcription and other related clinical support activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Type ultrasound reports accurately as dictated by the doctor.
* Listen to and accurately transcribe the doctor’s findings and instructions.
* Ensure correct spelling, grammar, medical terminology and formatting in reports.
* Proofread reports and make necessary corrections.
* Maintain accurate patient and medical records.
* Ensure timely completion of ultrasound reports and other assigned documentation.
* Coordinate with doctors for any clarification or corrections required.
* Assist with other medical transcription and documentation work as required.
* Perform data entry and maintain records systematically.
* Maintain confidentiality of patient and medical information.
* Follow clinic protocols and documentation standards.
* Provide administrative and clinical documentation support to the team as required.
Requirements
* Graduate/Diploma qualification in any relevant field.
* 1–2 years of experience in medical transcription or healthcare documentation preferred.
* Positive knowledge of medical terminology.
* Good English typing speed and accuracy.
* Good listening and comprehension skills.
* Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Good communication and coordination skills.
* Ability to work efficiently in a clinical setting.
* Experience with ultrasound/diagnostic report typing will be an added advantage.
